Hello friends!

It's time once again to make your plans to head to Athens and enjoy cheap drinks and old friends (or vice versa).

The 5th annual RCB Official/Unofficial Reunion Party will be held Saturday, June 20th at 8:00 PM at The Village Idiot (formally known as Rum Runners) in downtown Athens . Their spacious bar on the 1st and 2nd floors is is all ours for the evening.

For safety and convenience, we have reserved a few rooms downtown at the Holiday Inn downtown. We are trying to change this to the Game Day condos, but Game Day is currently sold out. Reservations are first-come first-served. To reserve a room, please contact me.

This event has grown since it's inception and we have no reason to believe that this year's event won't be better than last year's. At this time, we do not have any plans to honor anyone. The driving force and reason for this event always has been and always will be to reconnect with friends that you don't see as often as you would like.

As in the past, there will be an opportunity at the party to donate to a scholarship fund which benefits the Redcoat Band. This is a secondary purpose of the event for those who wish to give at that time. Donation is not a requirement or an expectation for anyone attending. It's simply a convenient time for many to give.

Thank you to all that made the trip to Athens for the 4th Annual Event. It was our largest (and dare I say best?) gathering yet.

A few final notes before we close the books on this year's party.

A) If you have any photos, videos, or stories you would like to share, please email them to russellsauve(at)gmail(dot)com.
The photos, videos, or stories will be posted to here by the end off the week.

B) The date of next year's event is still up in the air. But it will be the Saturday following the end of the UGA summer camps. More than likely... June 22nd. We'll send out a note once we know more.

C) There were a few of you that mentioned wanting to get more involved in "The Event". If that was you. Shoot me an email to the address above.

4th Annual Event!!!

Hello friends!

The fourth annual RCB Official/Unofficial Reunion Party will be Saturday, June 14th at 8:00 PM at the Village Idiot (formally known as Rum Runners for you old folks). They have a spacious room on the third floor that is all ours for the evening.

For safety and convenience, we have reserved a few rooms downtown at the Game Day Condos. There are 2 - two bedroom and 2 - three bedroom condos available. Each of these rooms also have a pull out couch. Reservations are first come first served. To reserve a room, please contact Russell Sauve. The BYOB after party will also be held here in one of the suites.

This event has grown since it's inception and we have no reason to believe that this year's event won't be better than last year's. At this time, we do not have any plans to honor anyone. But remember that the driving force and reason for this event always has been and always will be to reconnect with friends that you don't see as often as you would like. Plus Athens drink prices don't suck.

Welcome to the home of The Unofficial/Official RCB Alumni Event.

This is our 4th year of gathering in Athens and we're going back to The Village Idiot. We'll start around 8 and end when they kick us out. It's an evening of old friends and cheap Athens drink prices, does it get any better than this.

As usual we will have a block of hotel rooms at the Gameday condos. If you need a room, please leave a comment with your contact information or get in touch with Russell.

Again, there is no cover charge for The Event, but we ask that you bring money to donate to the Redcoat Band Scholarship fund.

Thank you to everyone who attended The Event this past Saturday. Your attendance made this year's party the best yet.

Thanks again to The Village Idiot for hosting us. For two years in a row, they have allowed us to use their facility at no cost, ensuring that all monies donated goes towards a scholarship fund.

Thanks also to Amy (Moore) Brown for donating her talents towards John's gift. Please show your appreciation by visiting her website and picking up some UGA, Antiorange, or Tales from Band Camp merchandise.

2007 Reunion

The annual RCB alumni party will be Saturday, June 16th at the Village Idiot in beautiful downtown Athens, Georgia. We are pleased to announce that this year's party will be held in honor of Dr. John Culvahouse. As you may know, John has accepted an appointment as Professor of Music Education and Director of Instrumental Music Education in the Kennesaw State University College of the Arts.

In addition to spending time with old friends, our gathering will be dedicated to thanking John for his exceptionally dedicated service to UGA over the last 16 years and wishing him the very best in his new pursuits.

The Village Idiot is allowing us to use their space at no charge. In lieu of a cover charge, we ask that you strongly consider joining us in donating to a KSU music scholarship in John's name. You can contribute on the evening of the party, or anytime beforehand by contacting us through the email address linked below.

While the gathering will be very informal, anyone who wishes to speak briefly is more than welcome to do so. If you would like to say a few words at the event please email us so we can better plan out the event.
